Job description:

We are currently seeking to fill both full-time and part-time Barista positions immediately.

Location: Atrium Medical Center, One Medical Center Drive, Middletown, OH 45005. Please note that we accept online applications only.

Schedule: We offer flexible full-time and part-time schedules, with operating hours from Monday to Friday, between 11:00 AM and 7:30 PM. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.

Requirements: While previous barista experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. We are willing to provide training for the right candidates.

Compensation: The pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary: The Barista will prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, as well as accompany food and beverage items, adhering to HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations. The role includes maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers and colleagues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare espresso orders and beverages using standard measures and recipes.
  • Accurately enter orders into the POS system and handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while maintaining a clean service area.
  • Ensure proper presentation and portion control, adhering to HACCP standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
  • Keep display equipment organized and free from debris during service.
  • Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before transitioning to other tasks.
  • Greet customers pleasantly and provide excellent customer service, addressing any customer concerns as needed.
  • Serve customers promptly and efficiently to minimize wait times.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of daily menu items and effectively communicate them to customers.
  • Advocate for upselling techniques to assist customers in their purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure attractive merchandising of display foods and serve them according to established standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
