We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Lab Technician for a dynamic clerical role focused on customer service within the Lab Support Services Department, located in a hospital setting in Detroit, MI. Key Responsibilities:

  • Primarily a clerical role, with responsibilities involving the use of lab instruments and information systems.

  • Ensure precision and timeliness in clerical lab support functions.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and safety regulations.
  • Perform selected lab procedures on blood and body fluids under direct supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science is required.
  • Certification: Certification from a recognized agency (ASCP or NCA) is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and technical proficiency in laboratory settings.
  • Experience with hospital lab systems such as SunQuest and Epic is preferred.
