Job Responsibilities:

  • Construct mechanical sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and perform other mechanical tasks as required.
  • Complete in-process quality control check sheets and audits as necessary.
  • Ensure high-quality craftsmanship in all assemblies.
  • Uphold strong housekeeping practices.
  • Follow directives from the Leader and/or Supervisor.
  • Provide regular updates on job statuses to the Mechanical Assembly Leader.
  • Understand and monitor job due dates, scheduling work accordingly.
  • Report daily progress of ongoing jobs to the supervisor.
  • Assist with disassembly, packing, and loading of machines for shipment.
  • Fill in for absences as required.
  • Order materials and liaise with receiving departments when necessary.
  • Aid in the startup and debugging of equipment.
  • Propose improvements to work methods and materials to enhance existing designs.
  • Travel as needed to support installations, debugging, trials, or problem-solving at customer sites.
  • Read and interpret build prints, collaborating with Mechanical Engineers and build leaders to address any design issues.
  • Recommend, initiate, and follow up on engineering changes, documenting according to ECO procedures.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.
  • Train and assist new employees.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Builder.
