Job Responsibilities:

• Construct mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies, along with executing any other mechanical tasks required for the position.
• Accurately complete in-process quality control (QC) check sheets as necessary.
• Conduct QC audits as required.
• Ensure high standards of craftsmanship on all projects being built.
• Adhere to established housekeeping practices.
• Take direction from the Leader and/or Supervisor.
• Provide updates on job status to the Mechanical Assembly Leader.
• Understand and prioritize due dates for jobs, scheduling work appropriately.
• Regularly report job progress to the Supervisor on a daily basis.
• Assist in the disassembly, packing, and loading of machines for shipment.
• Fulfill duties to cover for absences as needed.
• Order materials and coordinate with the receiving department as necessary.
• Support the start-up and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Propose improvements to work methods or materials that could enhance existing designs.
• Travel as required to assist with installations, troubleshooting, and problem-solving at customer locations.
• Read and interpret build prints, collaborating with Mechanical Engineers and Build Leaders to address any design issues related to machines or controls.
• Recommend, initiate, and follow up on engineering changes in alignment with ECO procedures.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as necessary.
• Provide training and support to new employees.

Job Requirements:

• A high school diploma is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a machine builder.
