– Operate under the general supervision of the Charge Nurse, providing assistance to elders while ensuring their safety, and responding swiftly and effectively to emergencies.
– Observe and report any changes in elder conditions to the Charge Nurse, and document care provided electronically in the Point of Care system.
– Assist elders with grooming, bathing, toileting, and any other care needs as designated.
– Prepare and serve meals and snacks tailored to elder preferences.
– Must possess an STNA certification or be willing to obtain one.
– Collaborate effectively within a Self-Managed Work Team to carry out essential day-to-day operations of the household, including laundry and light housekeeping, alongside providing personal care.
– Prepare and serve meals and nutritional snacks according to elder preferences and in accordance with guidance from the Registered Dietician (e.g., following recipes, measuring ingredients, operating kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, microwaves, and grills, and utilizing necessary cookware); ensure a supply of fresh water and coffee; set the dining table for meals; and assist elders during meal times.
