Job description:
We are seeking to fill both full-time and part-time Food Service Worker positions immediately.
Location: Comstock Public Schools, 3010 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49048. Please note that we are only accepting online applications.
Schedule: A variety of full-time and part-time schedules are available, with shifts ranging from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM and 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Further details will be provided during the interview process.
Requirements: While prior restaurant or customer service experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Job Summary: The Food Service Worker is responsible for the preparation, presentation, and serving of food as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately.
- Safely transport pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, ovens, and refrigerators.
- Store food in designated areas while adhering to wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as necessary.
- Follow approved recipes and production standards to guarantee food quality, appropriate serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a courteous and efficient manner, adhering to the prescribed service methods.
- Address customer concerns and communicate pertinent information to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory management, and cash control procedures.
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
