Job description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and proficient Radiology Technologist to join our medical imaging team on a 13-week contract basis in Cincinnati, OH. In this role, you will conduct a variety of radiographic procedures across multiple departments, including diagnostic radiology, outpatient services, nursing units, and surgical areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute diagnostic radiographs in accordance with physician orders.
- Operate imaging equipment throughout the radiology department, including fluoroscopy and portable x-ray units.
- Adhere to stringent radiation safety protocols to ensure the protection of patients and staff.
- Support front desk operations and efficiently utilize radiology information systems.
- Schedule imaging examinations and address any scheduling challenges as necessary.
- Coordinate patient transport through centralized systems.
- Retrieve, modify, and manage imaging data in compliance with established protocols.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other departments to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
- Notify and collaborate with on-call radiology staff when required.
- Promptly report any equipment issues to clinical engineering and management.
- Provide support and mentorship to radiologic technology students.
- Ensure compliance with equipment quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements, including ODH and Joint Commission guidelines.
- Manage the inventory of radiology supplies and assist with departmental audits.
- Access and manage patient records in alignment with HIPAA regulations and imaging department protocols.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, sterile techniques, and precise patient positioning.
- Proficient in operating x-ray equipment and printing systems.
