We are seeking a part-time associate to conduct alcohol tastings for suppliers within a Sam’s Club location. In this role, Alcohol Samplers will introduce customers to innovative and exciting brands by facilitating tastings. While experience in customer service, food handling, bartending, serving, cash handling, stocking, demonstration, brand ambassadorship, or brand advocacy is advantageous, it is not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with job requirements and the dress code for alcohol sampling (typically consisting of black attire).
  • Ensure knowledge and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing the sampling and marketing of alcohol.
  • Obtain the necessary permits, licenses, or certifications as mandated by law.
  • Professionally and safely prepare and serve alcohol and food samples using various equipment and small appliances.

Qualifications

  • Must be between 18 and 21 years of age, depending on location.
  • Availability during weekends (Friday-Sunday) is preferred; holidays and weekday shifts may also be available.
  • Reliable access to a smartphone or tablet on days worked.
  • Ability to safely operate appliances, including microwaves, toaster ovens, and hot plates.
  • Capability to stand throughout the duration of the sampling event.

Work Environment
This position entails moderate to high noise levels typical of a retail grocery warehouse environment, with potential exposure to cold, refrigerated conditions, food products, and cleaning chemicals.
