Position Overview
As a member of our Precision Oncology Sales team, the Regional Oncogenomic Liaison II (ROL II) will play a pivotal role in formulating and executing strategies to optimize the use of our products within designated accounts. The ROL II will ensure adherence to budgetary and compliance guidelines while advancing corporate objectives and effectively delivering our core selling messages. Key products may include Oncotype DX and RiskGuard (Hereditary Cancer Testing). This role requires exceptional service and relationship-building skills, aiming to position Exact Sciences as the preferred provider of assays. The ROL II will adeptly navigate complex challenges in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing the importance of maintaining comprehensive relationships and developing key contact records within Exact Sciences’ CRM system. A thorough understanding of territory-specific clinical and political issues is essential to create actionable plans.

The ROL II will disseminate critical information necessary to fulfill Exact Sciences’ mission to all stakeholders involved in our product sales. Collaboration with internal and external partners will be vital to facilitate informed decision-making across all organizational levels, including national, regional, and area teams. The ROL II will work alongside managed care, reimbursement teams, the Exact Sciences Advocacy group, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal access to our offerings.

Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following:
– Consistently achieve or surpass sales targets within an assigned territory through field-based engagement with healthcare providers, including oncologists and their staff.
– Drive new account development and deepen relationships within existing accounts.
– Exhibit excellence in territory management, planning, and execution.
– Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of competitive landscape and market dynamics affecting product utilization.
– Craft and implement a detailed tactical plan designed to maximize product usage in the most productive accounts while adhering to budget constraints, supporting corporate goals, and delivering high-quality customer service.
– Complete all training modules and demonstrate proficiency with the nuances of genomic testing and Exact Sciences’ Precision Oncology products.
– Devote time to building a comprehensive understanding of all disease states related to our products and the competitive landscape, utilizing this knowledge to influence targeted physicians and stakeholders to promote patient access to our products.
– Maintain expertise in a specialized area and creatively address a variety of issues.
– Keep comprehensive knowledge of company products and services, including detailed disease state and product information.
– Pursue excellence across all performance metrics and commit to ongoing self-evaluation and personal development. The ROL II will be recognized for contributions beyond mere sales performance.
– Participate in sales meetings and professional conferences across the United States as needed, collaborating closely with sales management and marketing to effectively communicate product sales and marketing narratives.
– Establish relationships with national opinion leaders in oncology and pathology within the designated territory.
– Integrate and apply feedback in a constructive and professional manner.
– Prioritize effectively and drive results with a commitment to quality.

Minimum Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
– 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of success in promoting complex products, particularly within medical oncology and/or diagnostics.
– A minimum of 1 year of experience in oncology, encompassing sales of chemo/immunotherapy or diagnostic products.
– Proven success in the diagnostic sector, demonstrating noteworthy sales performance.
– Established territory or account management skills.
– Valid driver’s license; no history of suspension, revocation, or invalid licensure.
– No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents within the past 36 months, and no drug or alcohol-related driving incidents during that timeframe.
– Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
– Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
– Clinical experience in oncology.
– Experience in oncology-related diagnostics sales.
– Established relationships within cancer centers and major surgical and oncology accounts within the territory.
– Familiarity with NextGen Sequencing, Minimal Residual Disease, comprehensive genomic profiling, liquid biopsy, and/or hereditary cancer testing.

Salary Range: $130,000.00 – $196,000.00
The annual base salary specified is for this role located in Cleveland, OH, on a full-time basis. This position is also eligible for bonuses and potential company stock options upon hire and annually.
