Job description:
Specialized work involving custodial and related tasks to support the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position is responsible for performing all necessary janitorial duties to ensure that the facilities are clean, safe, and in an acceptable working condition. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively and maintain a positive demeanor with staff, individuals, family members, providers, and other community contacts while upholding the confidentiality of all information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the general supervision of the Custodial and Grounds Manager, ensure the overall safety and cleanliness of the facility by conducting regular cleaning services. This includes general custodial duties, managing trash disposal, and executing special projects related to tile floor and carpet cleaning, as well as restroom sanitation and spill management.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning tools and solutions to maintain restroom toilets and tile floors, scrub grout, execute preventative maintenance checks, and perform routine basic repairs on electrical, plumbing, and building mechanical systems. Document services rendered and promptly report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Monitor building security and safety by executing tasks such as securing doors after business hours and ensuring that the premises are free from hazards.
- Exhibit regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.

Minimum Qualifications for Employment:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in performing janitorial tasks.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
- Experience with electronic work order systems, specifically a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), is preferred.
- Completion of Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Certification on the first day of employment.

Working Conditions:
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, drive, and use hands for handling various tasks. The role also requires lifting and/or carrying up to fifty (50) pounds regularly.
The employee may encounter various working conditions, including the use of portable ladders, exposure to fire prevention plans, personal protective equipment, handling of chemicals, bodily fluids, and working in diverse weather conditions.
