Job description:
A Laundry Attendant is primarily responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of pristine linens for the hotel, adhering to the high standards set by the Veridea Group, while simultaneously promoting guest satisfaction through friendly and courteous service.
Essential Functions:
- Provide sincere and courteous assistance to all guests, going above and beyond whenever possible to ensure their satisfaction.
- Thoroughly and accurately clean, fold, and distribute bed and bath linens, including:
a. Sorting all linens.
b. Loading and unloading washers and dryers efficiently.
c. Properly treating soiled linens.
d. Reporting any unusual circumstances to the supervisor.
e. Promptly addressing maintenance requests.
f. Recording articles left in linens in the Lost & Found Logbook. - Maintain a clean and organized laundry room to enhance job efficiency.
- Organize laundry storage areas to ensure quality and facilitate efficient operations, including:
a. Checking stock levels to ensure adequacy for daily tasks.
b. Restocking storage rooms and/or carts as necessary.
c. Identifying damaged or unsuitable linens and returning them to storage. - Secure linen closets, chutes, and trash chutes to uphold safety and security at all times.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively in various situations.
- Understand that while scheduled shifts have a designated start time, the end time is contingent on workload as determined by the supervisor.
- Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the property and its facilities to effectively address guest inquiries.
- Understand and adhere to all hotel safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for both employees and guests.
- Keep the operations manager informed of any significant issues or unusual matters in a timely manner to facilitate prompt corrective actions.
- Perform additional duties as requested or required.
