Job description:
At SSP America, we are currently seeking dedicated Line Cooks who play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. Our Line Cooks are responsible for efficiently receiving food orders and preparing a variety of delicious dishes, while ensuring that the kitchen is organized and stocked with the necessary tools and ingredients for optimal performance during their shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
– Adhere to established recipes and practice portion control to accurately prepare, garnish, and present dishes as ordered.
– Maintain an organized and adequately stocked kitchen and work station on a daily basis.
– Efficiently requisition and stock all necessary food items, paper products, and condiments.
– Properly handle, store, and rotate all food products to maintain freshness and quality.
– Oversee the setup, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of all kitchen machinery and equipment.
– Monitor inventory levels of perishable goods and ensure proper cutting and storage methods are utilized.
– Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required to uphold operational standards.
– Take ownership of the quality of all products served to guests.
– Conduct general and specific cleaning tasks in compliance with health standards, utilizing standard cleaning products as assigned by a supervisor.
– Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
– A minimum of one year of experience in a food service environment.
– High school diploma is preferred.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
– Ability to read, speak, and comprehend the English language to effectively communicate with guests and take orders.
– Basic mathematical skills are required.
– A valid food handler’s permit is necessary, per legal requirements.
– Brand certification may be required.
– Capacity to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
