The Field Supervisor will serve as a leader responsible for overseeing operations while embodying the skill set of a trade practitioner. This individual will demonstrate proficiency in planning, executing, and refining work that requires artistic and technical skills. A core aspect of this role is the commitment to mentoring, motivating, and guiding others to reach their professional potential. The Field Supervisor will be responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating both new and experienced employees, fostering a team-oriented environment that enhances overall business performance.

The objective of this position is to cultivate Field Supervisors who can proficiently manage various projects, provide leadership, and develop talent across all levels—Interns, Apprentices, Handymen, Craftsmen, Lead Craftsmen, Master Craftsmen, and subcontractors on larger projects. This role emphasizes the ability and willingness to impart knowledge while serving as a mentor and coach for staff development. Ideal candidates may be hired at this level directly, but most employees will typically progress from the Craftsman level through testing to the Lead Craftsman and Master Craftsman levels, demonstrating their commitment to knowledge transfer.

Field Supervisors will begin their careers in a hands-on capacity, championing projects in the field while gradually transitioning to supervisory roles as the team expands. Responsibilities will include hiring, training, and evaluating all field personnel, overseeing the development of various career pathways, and certifying candidates as “ACE Certified Handy” through both written examinations and practical assessments. To fulfill this role, the Field Supervisor must also be certified as an Ace Certified Handy Trainer.
