Job description:

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience within a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. In this role, you will operate registers or other machinery, restock shelves, maintain the stores’ appearance, and provide exceptional service to our customers. Each day presents new opportunities and challenges.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 – $18.00 | Year 3 – $18.50 | Year 4 – $18.50 | Year 5 – $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader.

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and neatly stock shelves and merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experiences.
• Offer constructive feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, scanning errors, and any other general issues.
• Participate in inventory counts in accordance with established guidelines and monitor inventory for accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves and ensure product rotation to guarantee customers receive fresh items.
• Follow merchandising planograms to create visually appealing displays.
• Organize new inventory and break down empty boxes.
• Operate machinery while adhering to all safety procedures.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
• Stockers must be capable of stocking merchandise from receiving areas to shelving and placing products weighing up to 45 pounds at varying heights.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.

Education and Experience:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous work experience in a retail environment is advantageous.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
