Job description:

Ready to assist one of the nation’s leading office supply brands? We are seeking skilled furniture assemblers to assemble products in customers’ homes and provide service to this renowned chain’s stores every three weeks. A superior showroom experience will enhance assembly orders, with the cultivation of a strong relationship with the store manager being essential to expanding your hours in the market. Strong cross-selling abilities will be critical to your success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute in-home assembly assignments with precision.
  • Report completion of work in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform furniture repairs as needed.
  • Assemble Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) furniture.
  • Assemble grills and exercise equipment, among other tasks.
  • Take inventory and identify missing items from the sales floor.

Additional duties include:

  • Anchoring displays to ensure customer safety.
  • Conducting minor assembly repairs on furniture.
  • Cleaning and vacuuming furniture pads.
  • Assembling RTA furniture for the display area.
  • Reporting work via phone, tablet, or computer.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with store managers.

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation for daily travel of 30–60 miles to multiple locations, depending on market needs.
  • A basic tool set may be required in certain markets.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, team members, and management; improved communication correlates to increased shift opportunities.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day.
  • Flexible availability, including hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, with occasional weekends and evenings as necessary.
  • Competence in reading and following diagrams or instructions and using hand and power tools effectively.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
