Job description:

AFRL is engaged in planning and executing programs for the U.S. Air Force in the domains of basic research, exploratory development, and advanced development. Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is currently providing organizational support to AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This support entails tasks aimed at establishing an effective Information Management framework that promotes the timely deployment and optimal operation of Information Systems, thereby advancing the mission of AFRL research.

  • Act as the lead Linux Administrator.
  • Oversee the implementation and configuration of Linux tools and systems.
  • Manage an extensive satellite infrastructure, deploying custom configurations utilizing Puppet.
  • Supervise junior administrators in daily operations.
  • Enhance administrative processes and policies to improve overall efficiency.

Requirements

Required:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator.
  • Possession of a valid DOD IAT Level 1 8570 certification (Security+).
  • A Secret security clearance level (or higher).
  • Expertise in Linux server and workstation administration.
  • Proficiency with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 8 and 9.
  • Advanced understanding of Red Hat Satellite/Foreman.
  • Extensive experience with Puppet and the creation of custom manifests.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in shell/bash scripting.
  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Familiarity with Centrify/Delinea administration.
  • Knowledge of high-performance computing clusters.
