Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to provide dedicated care to our residents in Rochester Hills, MI. The Resident Aide will assist residents with activities of daily living while offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for helping others, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and foster meaningful relationships with seniors.

No licenses or certifications are required, and we are hiring immediately! Experience in passing medications is essential, and candidates must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Maintain a clean environment, which may involve light housekeeping duties.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Valid driver’s license or state ID.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team; punctuality for each shift is required.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position with an 8-hour shift schedule. Weekend work is required every other weekend.

Pay:
