We are IDEAL ELECTRIC COMPANY, a 121-year-old American-owned manufacturer of electric motors and generators, currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to become part of our on-site team in Mansfield, Ohio. Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, the Manufacturing Technician is essential to the production of IDEAL’s specialty motors and generators. The ideal candidate will be punctual, dependable, and possess excellent teamwork and communication skills. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assembly, spot welding, machine operation, stacking, pole winding, and welding to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products.
  • Operate cranes and powered industrial trucks (PIT) as instructed.
  • Utilize various measurement tools and hand tools, including manual, hydraulic, and pneumatic types.
  • Complete tasks according to established work instructions/procedures and based on technical drawings.
  • Accurately complete and submit manufacturing, quality, and necessary documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering department as needed to coordinate work efforts.
  • Promote workplace safety by adhering to safety policies and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
  • Support the company’s quality objectives by following applicable policies and procedures.

Desired Qualifications & Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical prints, using logic, and troubleshooting.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and effective time-management abilities.
  • Experience with various manufacturing equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes is advantageous.

Working Conditions and Work Hours:

  • A minimum daily commitment of 8 hours, with a weekly minimum of 40 hours. Overtime may be required based on production schedules, which may vary depending on specific departmental and customer needs.
