Job description:

AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups, tasked with administering the residual market. As a national organization, we are dedicated to addressing local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are essential to many AIPSO services, leveraging economies of scale and efficiencies. However, we place a strong emphasis on customer focus, acknowledging the necessity for flexibility in accommodating diverse customer interests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process transactions through systems and correspondence, both via mail and online platforms.
  • Review and process applications, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, making determinations based on eligibility, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Interpret Plan Rules and manuals.
  • Execute all Certification and Complaint processes.
  • Investigate and update information within files, enhance records with additional data, complete reports, maintain current files, and retrieve or remove files upon request.
  • Process outgoing automobile insurance assignments, ensuring the appropriate assignment notices are incorporated into applications and Plan files.
  • Communicate with producers regarding incomplete applications or inquiries.
  • Address telephone inquiries, correspondence, and complaints from agents, insured individuals, and companies.
  • Organize incoming materials and sort them according to the established filing system.
  • Coordinate correspondence related to the Plans’ annual meetings, proxy notices, and relevant circulars.

Education:

High school diploma or GED is required. A two-year degree from a technical school is advantageous. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience:

A minimum of two years in a related field is required. Familiarity with office support software is necessary.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel) with advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including the capability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and evaluate various alternatives before acting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to effectively present information and address inquiries from individuals or groups.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining flexible and detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Capability to work independently and interact professionally within a team setting.
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence by following directions and interpreting customer needs.
  • Preferred knowledge of the insurance industry, particularly in automobile insurance.
