Job description:
Do you possess a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference? The Reserve at Red Run is seeking enthusiastic servers for our dining room. In this role, you will greet and serve our community members at Madison Heights’ newest independent living residence designed for the next generation of seniors.

As a Server, your responsibilities will include:

– Serving food and beverages to patrons in a friendly and welcoming manner.
– Assisting patrons in their food and beverage selections by providing tailored recommendations.
– Presenting ordered items promptly and efficiently.
– Maintaining an inviting dining atmosphere with a positive demeanor.
– Preparing the dining area as per the chef’s directions.
– Upholding sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect both the establishment and its patrons.
– Communicating patrons’ orders clearly to the kitchen and bar staff, noting any special requests.
– Keeping the kitchen team informed about the timing of meal service.
– Delivering orders and accompanying items from the bar and kitchen to patrons.
– Being attentive to patrons’ needs and responding to requests throughout the dining experience.
– Managing table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, and addressing any spills or special requirements.
– Performing cleaning tasks, which include washing dishes and maintaining various areas of the establishment.
– Delivering trays to community members’ apartments as needed.
– Attending training sessions as required.
– Carrying out other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications include:

– Strong multitasking abilities.
– A valid Food Handlers permit as mandated by state regulations.

– Successful completion of a criminal background check.
– A current TB test and physical, if applicable to the role.

Requirements:

– Availability to work at least every other weekend.
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and support up to 100 pounds.
– Capability to kneel, crouch, and bend frequently.
– Willingness to stand for the entirety of each shift.
