We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Semi Auto Gluer Operator on the 2nd shift (1 opening) at our Akron, OH facility, with an hourly rate of $20.42.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team to enhance productivity, minimize downtime, and reduce waste within the manufacturing operation.
- Set up, operate, and feed machinery, as well as handle the stacking of boxes.
- Engage actively in general plant and facilities-related tasks.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the shop and equipment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- May be required to stack parts weighing up to 30 lbs. for extended periods, potentially up to 12 hours.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Ability to sit, stoop, and bend as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as necessary.
- Availability for the 2nd shift.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
