Role Summary

The Team Member will play a crucial role in enhancing the member experience by delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet members, prospective members, and guests while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Manage all front desk activities, including:
    • Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with various inquiries.
    • Checking members into the system.
    • Facilitating new member sign-ups.
    • Guiding prospective members on tours of the facility.
    • Updating members’ accounts as necessary.
    • Addressing member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Manager when appropriate.
    • Assisting in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
  • A genuine passion for fitness and health.
  • An upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to engage positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding member expectations.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and resolve problems effectively.
  • Demonstrated diplomacy in all interactions, utilizing appropriate behavior and language.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
