Job Position Description:

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for training, overseeing, and motivating team members. This position is vital in ensuring that all staff remain focused and complete their assignments to meet ServiceMaster standards. Success in this role requires a solid understanding of cleaning principles and strong team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train cleaning staff on ServiceMaster’s standards, products, processes, and procedures.
  • Oversee staff performance and ensure all tasks are completed according to the established schedule.
  • Educate cleaners on account-specific task schedules.
  • Conduct inspections and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Adjust staffing in the event of call-offs or no-shows.
  • Address customer complaints and requests promptly and empathetically.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
  • Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Open and secure facilities, enabling and disabling security systems as necessary.
  • While 1-2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is beneficial, on-the-job training is available for individuals demonstrating a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Experience in professional janitorial services, office complexes, hotels, hospitals, or schools is an advantage.
  • Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment are essential.
  • Contribute positively to the work atmosphere by maintaining a pleasant demeanor and supporting team efforts, including adherence to uniform standards and punctuality.
  • Show respect and understanding towards co-workers and customers.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

  • This role requires constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs is necessary.
