Job description:

Immediate opening for a Part-Time Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team at Ryder. This position involves transporting empty trucks and trailers between rental branches and occasionally to customer locations in and around Troy, MI.

  • Compensation and Schedule:
    • Pay: $19.50 per hour, weekly
    • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 30 hours per week
    • Start Time: 8 AM
    • Paid training provided
    • Home daily with no weekend work
    • No freight handling involved

Driver Requirements:

  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Successful completion of Ryder’s drug test
  • Background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
  • Passing DOT physical examination
  • Successful completion of Ryder road test
  • Possession of appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written or oral instructions
  • Capacity to read, interpret, and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
