Job description:
The night auditor is tasked with auditing all accounts to ensure accurate balancing and preparation of final reports for management. This role also serves as the front desk clerk during the night shift, striving to maximize room revenue and guest satisfaction in accordance with Veridea standards.
Essential Functions:
- Provide sincere and professional assistance to all guests, going the extra mile to ensure their satisfaction while adhering to hotel standards.
- Verify the accuracy of all charges to guest accounts incurred during the day and post room charges to ensure all accounts are updated and balanced by 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
- Complete all credit card transmittals, direct billing, and no-show billings for the day.
- Prepare all required daily, monthly, and yearly reports for the property.
- Assume the role of manager on duty in the absence of the general manager or guest operations manager.
- Efficiently register and process guests upon arrival and departure to enhance their experience.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s services and facilities, along with the local area, to effectively assist guests.
- Utilize sales techniques to promote the property, thereby maximizing occupancy and average rate.
- Accurately handle telephone and walk-in reservations to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Proactively address and resolve guest issues, complaints, or problems.
- Operate the telephone system proficiently in accordance with Veridea standards.
- Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure environment for both employees and guests.
- Keep supervisors informed of any significant issues or unusual matters requiring attention to facilitate prompt corrective action.
- Seek additional duties that contribute to the overall operations of the hotel.
- Prepare the breakfast setup daily to ensure readiness for the breakfast attendant’s arrival.
Qualification Standards:
