Manufacturing Supervisor – 2nd Shift

We are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for our Wayne, MI location. This role, reporting to the Operations Manager, involves overseeing hourly production staff to ensure adherence to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics during the 2nd shift (M-F, 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, coach, and develop the hourly workforce.
- Enforce company policies, values, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Create and modify standard work procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for metal stamping experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with AS400, Lean Manufacturing, and/or SAP is preferred.
Within 3 months, you will:
- Complete the Atkore immersion program.
- Understand how your role contributes to Atkore’s strategic goals.
- Assess the skillsets of your reporting team members.
- Familiarize yourself with the training materials and procedures relevant to your team.
Within 6 months, you will:
- Update training materials and procedures.
- Collaborate with Safety and HR to investigate on-the-job incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the team’s commitment to Atkore’s core values: Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.
Within 12 months, you will:
- Lead an efficient team aligned with Atkore’s strategy.
- Develop and revise reports, training materials, and other documentation.
- Engage in meaningful performance discussions with your direct reports.
- Demonstrate the ability to resolve issues effectively and safely.

Placement within this range will depend on various factors including, but not limited to, competencies, education, experience, skills, and organizational needs, which may fluctuate over time. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock options, and other incentives.
