Pay: $18 per hour
At Great Wolf Lodge, the Retail and Attractions Supervisor plays a vital role in enhancing family experiences through the effective management of daily retail and attractions operations. This leadership position is instrumental in fulfilling business objectives, supporting the retail and attractions team, and fostering positive interactions with both guests and team members to optimize their experiences and drive profitability.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of retail and attractions, including gift shops, arcade, attractions, and vending, ensuring compliance with lodge safety and service standards.
- Provide regular coaching, encouragement, and recognition to team members.
- Champion Great Wolf’s policies and procedures, collaborating with department and lodge leadership on performance management.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns, escalating feedback to leadership as necessary.
- Ensure timely completion and communication of guest requests and additional concerns to the appropriate departments.
- Engage in staff scheduling, labor management, and forecasting activities.
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings with the retail and attractions team to prioritize tasks and encourage member feedback.
- Monitor team performance, offering real-time feedback and coaching.
- Maintain organization and stocking of retail outlets and attractions, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process of talent for retail and attractions.
- Collaborate with department leaders to create and implement action plans enhancing guest service and team engagement, as measured by NPS and eNPS metrics.
- Participate in performance management processes, including employee reviews, corrective actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Uphold operational quality by ensuring service excellence, optimal inventory levels, and equipment maintenance through troubleshooting or coordination of repairs.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of programs ensuring a safe environment in compliance with all relevant regulations, including Ergonomics, Emergency Responses, and Hazard Communications.
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures related to the role.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of prior retail experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general software systems, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated skills in customer service, conflict resolution, employee engagement, retention, and team building.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Desired Qualifications & Traits
- Associate’s degree or higher in hospitality or a related field.
- Experience in a previous retail or hospitality leadership role.
- Prior experience in a large family resort or hotel.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
