The Northridge, a 64-unit Senior Living Community in North Ridgeville, OH, is seeking a Part-Time Evening Concierge.

As a Concierge, you will serve as the hospitality ambassador for our community, creating an exceptional first impression and providing vital front office support. This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to positively impact the lives of our residents and their families. You will foster a welcoming and engaging environment for guests, vendors, family members, and all visitors, ensuring that our community remains an attractive home that promotes socialization and enhances the overall quality of life.

Essential Functions
To succeed in this position, you must be able to perform the following essential duties effectively:

  • Greet residents and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Answer phone calls and take messages.
  • Arrange transportation for residents requiring physician appointments and extracurricular outings.
  • Assist with the dining experience, including serving meals and beverages, and delivering meals to residents who are unable to attend the dining room. Set dining tables for the following day, display the day’s menu, and update the activity board.
  • Participate in special events and evening activities as needed.
  • Provide assistance to the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager as required.
  • Help new tenants feel welcomed and spend time introducing them to other residents.
  • Deliver UPS and Amazon shipments directly to residents’ apartments, ensuring that delivery personnel do not access residents’ rooms.
  • Address basic inquiries about the center and provide tours.
  • Perform light cleaning duties, including maintaining the appearance of the lobby and emptying trash in common areas.
  • Conduct regular rounds of the building at scheduled intervals throughout your shift.
  • Monitor security cameras while stationed at the desk.
  • Ensure the office door is locked upon departure.

Position Qualifications

  • Ability to assess residents’ needs and make informed decisions.
  • Capacity to invite families bi-monthly for special activities.
  • Proficient in writing, typing, and computer usage.
  • Patience, professionalism, and a positive demeanor when working with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to assist with the Enquire program as necessary.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing demands of the job.
  • Skilled in making decisions on behalf of residents based on their needs.

Skills and Abilities

  • High School diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • 2 years of experience in activities preferred.
  • Background working with the elderly, demonstrating success in previous roles.
  • 1 year of office experience.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in operating a computer, using the internet, and managing email effectively.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license required.

Part-Time Schedule

  • 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
