Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide dedicated support to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living while offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications according to physician orders.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in the resident’s condition to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.
  • Comply with all safety and health protocols, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience in working with the elderly population.
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license or identification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function independently as well as part of a team, with punctuality for every shift.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position with 8-hour shifts. Weekend availability is required every other weekend.

Pay:

Starting hourly wage is $15.00, with opportunities for advancement.
