Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Caregivers to join our team in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will provide essential support to our residents, assisting with activities of daily living while also offering companionship and emotional encouragement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others, possess outstanding communication skills, and cultivate genuine relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the living environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Prior experience working with the elderly.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license or ID.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and consistently arrive on time for each shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position with scheduled 8-hour shifts, including a requirement to work every other weekend.

Pay:
