Department Overview:
The Environmental Aide performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to uphold cleanliness in areas such as patient towers, public spaces, exam rooms, and offices. Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces
- Dusting and replenishing supplies
- Spot cleaning carpets and upholstery
- Addressing spills promptly
- Changing linens and making beds
- Operating vacuum cleaning equipment
- Dust mopping and damp mopping floors, stairs, and landings
- Proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Reporting equipment repairs and unsafe situations
