Job description:

As a SAP Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing KLA Corporation’s SAP infrastructure to ensure it aligns with future requirements and scalability, while adhering to industry-leading best practices. Your role will involve contributing to the implementation of solutions designed to streamline processes, minimize redundancy, and enhance the internal customer experience.

Maintenance and Support:

  • Monitor SAP system performance, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime and disruption to business operations.
  • Conduct regular health assessments of the SAP infrastructure and implement necessary corrective actions to maintain system performance in accordance with benchmark standards.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and comprehensive training to global users, ensuring they possess the skills required to effectively utilize SAP.
  • Engage with various business stakeholders to understand security requirements, follow the security change process, and ensure access risks are addressed and mitigated.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues, ensuring permanent solutions, while offering on-call support during critical events and milestones.
  • Facilitate clear communication by translating complex technical concepts into easily understandable terms for non-technical personnel, enhancing the identification of requirements and issues.

Best Practice and Documentation:

  • Establish and enforce best practices for SAP documentation to ensure team members are informed of changes in the SAP landscape.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation of system configuration, processes, and procedures, ensuring accessibility and clarity for efficient system management and troubleshooting.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT and business units, to align SAP standard capabilities with business objectives.
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of SAP Basis and Security across products such as SAP ECC, SAP CRM, SAP Gateway (Fiori), SAP SRM, SAP PO/PI, SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java, SAP GRC, SAP Solution Manager, S/4Hana, E4H SAP GTS Edition for HANA, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP ILM, OpenText, SAP connector applications, and SAP SaaS offerings in BTP.
  • Bring hands-on experience in certificate upgrades and IP whitelisting, alongside a robust understanding of network and authentication concepts, with proficiency in integrating third-party systems with SAP.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in SAP Basis and security across various products, including SAP Gateway (Fiori), SAP SRM, SAP PO/PI, SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java, SAP GRC, SAP Solution Manager, S/4Hana, E4H SAP GTS Edition for HANA, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP ILM, OpenText, SAP connector applications, and SAP SaaS offerings in BTP.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in SAP Basis activities, providing technical support, managing SAP release upgrades, infrastructure upgrades, and performing OS/DB migrations.
  • Technical expertise in HANA database administration, offering assistance in high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup, recovery, security, and performance improvement.
  • Practical knowledge of infrastructure and network operations with a strong ability to resolve critical issues within service incident and change management processes.
  • Proficient in operating systems such as Unix, Linux, and Windows, alongside a comprehensive understanding of networking requirements specific to the SAP environment.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity processes, project management methodologies, and SAP operational governance frameworks.
  • Availability for on-call support during weekdays and weekends as per the defined schedule or as needed.
