Job description:

We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative – Floater to join our team! Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply. In this role, you will deliver exemplary customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an exceptional “Judgement Free” experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Welcome members and guests, providing outstanding customer service to create a comfortable environment.
• Answer phone calls in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a range of inquiries.
• Check in members, provide tours, assist with new member sign-ups, log amenities, and communicate updates and events.
• Address member questions and concerns swiftly and professionally.
• Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
• Utilize the POS system for membership card issuance, address changes, and billing inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain the front desk area and lobby in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform regular facility cleaning tasks, including mopping spills, trash removal, and cleaning windows and mirrors.
• Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are regularly cleaned.
• Clean and restock restrooms and wet areas consistently.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Candidates for overnight positions must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent on a satisfactory outcome.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a proven ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• An upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the required timeframes and possess the physical ability to administer CPR/AED in an emergency.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods; regularly stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to engage verbally in person or on the phone throughout the shift.
• Maintain the physical capability to perform CPR in emergencies.
• Adequate vision and hearing capabilities, with or without correction.
