Job description:

Kingsley Senior Living Facility in Canton, MI is seeking dedicated Care Staff to join our team. Our facility is designed with a focus on ensuring the safety and enriching lifestyle of our senior residents while providing both assisted and memory care services. As a member of our care staff and medication technician, you will assist residents with their daily care needs and support their medication administration, all while fostering their independence and safety. Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
  • Administer medications as a primary responsibility, providing hands-on care to each resident.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate with the supervisor.
  • Administer medications and injections according to medical charts.
  • Follow the schedule and assist residents with repositioning as needed.
  • Complete documentation regarding medication administration in accordance with procedures.
  • Exercise sound judgment in providing care and ensuring resident safety.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Complete all required documentation and chart entries accurately.
  • Respond to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly.
  • Assist residents with meal trays and support them during mealtime.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
