At Hotel Royal Oak, we are in search of an outgoing, friendly, and music-loving candidate to enhance our guest experience. This role transcends the typical front desk position, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming guests upon check-in and ensuring they feel at home.
  • Crafting coffee and cocktails at The Hi-Fi Lounge, our lobby bar dedicated to music enthusiasts.
  • Serving as a local concierge by providing insights on events at the Royal Oak Music Theatre, Ridley’s Comedy Castle, and popular Ferndale destinations. Familiarity with the local scene is a major plus!
  • Curating an enticing hotel breakfast spread, allowing creativity with various options such as crockpot dishes or local baked goods to delight our guests.

Qualifications:

  • Outgoing and sociable personality, serving as the memorable friendly face for guests.
  • A genuine passion for music and local culture, with eagerness to share knowledge.
  • A true foodie who appreciates breakfast and has innovative ideas for simple, delicious hotel lobby offerings.
  • Proficient in computers and technology, as managing reservations, emails, and guest requests is essential.
  • Previous experience in front desk operations, as a barista, or in bartending is required.
  • Eligibility for TIPS and Food Service Certification (existing certifications are a bonus).
  • A strong dedication to hospitality, with a focus on making guests feel welcome.
  • Willingness to take on additional shifts as needed.
