Job description:

This position plays a pivotal role in the success of our retail stores. Customer Service Specialists collaborate closely with both wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, address inquiries regarding Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend appropriate solutions. They are responsible for swiftly resolving customer concerns to ensure maximum satisfaction, while staying informed about product features and maintaining high-quality visual standards within the store.

The selected candidate will be assigned to Store #701283, located at 22306 Lake Shore Blvd, Euclid, OH 44123. This part-time role offers a starting rate of $15.25 per hour.

Key responsibilities include direct interaction with customers, which may involve minors, and handling financial transactions along with access to store merchandise and sensitive data—both of which may be supervised or unsupervised. To ensure the safety of our customers, staff, and overall operations, a review of criminal history is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist customers in-person and over the phone by assessing needs and presenting suitable products and services.
  • Foster trusting relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
  • Accurately process sales transactions in accordance with company policies.
  • Meet and exceed store sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintain organized work order files and product formulas.
  • Retrieve products from the sales floor or warehouse as necessary.
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications when required.
  • Organize shelves and set up displays for optimal presentation.
  • Clean and maintain store equipment.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed.
  • Support delivery efforts as required.
  • Ensure assigned areas are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Stay knowledgeable about products and effectively communicate available options.
  • Adhere to inventory control procedures.
  • Proactively suggest strategies for improving sales.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without the need for sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
  • Capable of retrieving materials from shelves and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Availability to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
  • Previous experience selling paint and related products.
  • Familiarity with operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, comprehending, and communicating in more than one language; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
