As a Front of House (FOH) Manager, you will oversee the service and management of the Front of House, ensuring a delightful experience for our guests while adhering to Suburban Inns’ Core Values, Big E’s standards, and local health regulations.

FOH Manager Wage: Salary begins at $48,000 annually, negotiable based on experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Welcome all guests warmly, fostering personal connections to ensure they feel valued.
  • Schedule FOH personnel in alignment with labor guidelines set by the Restaurant Manager.
  • Ensure that FOH areas, equipment, and fixtures maintain the highest standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Conduct monthly inventories and manage pricing, cost controls, requisitioning, and issuing for beer and liquor.
  • Strive to maintain exceptional levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain an active floor presence to enhance staff engagement and elevate the guest experience.
  • Conduct table visits to ensure service quality.
  • Assist in guest service as needed.
  • Implement and oversee all service recovery initiatives.
  • Establish and adhere to side work, opening, and closing procedures in accordance with SI/Big E’s standards and safety protocols.
  • Lead and manage Team Members, holding them accountable to Suburban Inns and Big E’s core values; utilize discipline as necessary following company policies.
  • Ensure all FOH Team Members are TIPS and/or ServSafe certified.
  • Monitor FOH Team Member schedules to ensure adherence to labor guidelines.
  • Review and approve payroll for FOH Team Members for accuracy in compliance with labor laws.
  • Execute staffing adjustments at the end of shifts to align with guest service expectations and labor cost objectives.
  • Prepare reports, manage schedules, and handle other administrative duties.
  • Secure dining room areas at the conclusion of the business day.
  • Maintain proactive communication with Back of House staff.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings.
  • Follow all Suburban Inns processes.
  • Exhibit consistent attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Knowledge: Ability to interpret and extract information, perform arithmetic functions, and possess effective communication skills.
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required; one year of relevant job experience is preferred.
  • Certificates: ServSafe Food, CPR, and TIPS Certifications (may be completed upon hire).
  • Work Schedule: Availability for day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend shifts, varying based on business needs.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to other Suburban Inns properties or client locations may be necessary.

Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:

  • Uniform: Professional attire as per Suburban Inns guidelines; closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required.
