On-Board PMO is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for our Valley View, OH location.

Position Overview:
This full-time permanent role offers a competitive compensation range of $21.50 – $23.50 per hour. Eligible employees can access a comprehensive benefits package after 60 days. We are currently providing a $1,000 sign-on bonus, distributed as follows: $250 after one month, another $250 after three months, and $500 after six months of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
The CNC Machinist will ensure the production of high-quality aerospace components while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Utilizing training and production experience to operate Bridgeport Mills, CNC Lathes, and CNC Mills.
  • Proficiently measuring using micrometers, depth micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, with optical comparator experience as a plus.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Enforcing a maximum manual lift limit of fifty pounds during material handling.
  • Completing all required safety orientations related to applicable OSHA standards and site-specific policies.

Organizational Relationships:
This role necessitates regular collaboration with shift production employees and leadership within both the client and contractor groups.

Production Cell Activities:
Responsibilities may involve, but are not limited to:

  • General material weighing and sorting
  • Tool preparation
  • Adhering to 5S principles
  • Managing Foreign Object Damage/Debris
  • Tumbling and sandblasting
  • Oven operations
  • Manual and semi-automatic press operations
  • Manual cloth impregnation
  • Etching and Poly L assembly
  • Hand deburring
  • Various machining processes including milling, drilling, turning, and boring
  • Coolant changes and part marking

Physical Demands:
This position requires frequent communication, as well as the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Occasional lifting or moving of items up to twenty-five pounds, with a maximum of fifty-five pounds, is required.

Education and Training:
Employees are expected to complete all mandatory classroom and online training through our I Learn system, with a passing score of 80% or better required to maintain employment.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess a CNC certification or a minimum of three years’ experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills. Proficiency in reading blueprints and a solid understanding of GD&T are essential, alongside shop math skills to the tenth, hundredth, and thousandth place.
