Job description:

We are seeking a motivated Part-Time Member Services Representative for Weekend Mornings to join our team! Bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Spanish are encouraged to apply. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a truly “Judgment Free” experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a warm greeting to members and guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and welcomed.
• Answer phone calls in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a variety of inquiries.
• Check in members, conduct tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and concerns.
• Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
• Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, address changes, and billing inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and orderly front desk and lobby area through diligent upkeep.
• Conduct regular cleaning of the facility, including mopping spills, trash removal, and re-racking weights.
• Ensure cleanliness of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
• Perform regular cleaning and stocking in restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Applicants must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within their first week of hire, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
• Exceptional customer service skills, capable of interacting positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
• A positive, upbeat, and professional demeanor is essential.
• Punctuality and reliability are critical.
• CPR/AED Certification must be obtained and maintained per company requirements, with physical capability to perform CPR in emergencies.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, frequently stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, reaching, twisting, and making repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull moderate weight (up to 50 lbs).
• Capability to engage in communication continuously in person or on the phone during shifts.
