We are in search of a friendly, tech-savvy, and organized individual who excels at multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, making it essential to create an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive. Key responsibilities include checking in new and existing patients in accordance with state and CRA requirements, creating patient profiles, and providing general assistance as needed. The successful candidate will also participate in mandatory training through our innovative JARS University, designed to ensure thorough education on our policies, procedures, and company culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify customer age requirements, register new customers in the POS system, and scan returning customers.
  • Check customer purchasing allotments through the POS system upon check-in.
  • Promote the JARS brand and generate excitement about shopping at our location.
  • Welcome customers into the store with a positive, friendly demeanor.
  • Maintain proper greetings and salutations for all customers at all times.
  • Assist with curbside and online orders as needed.
  • Answer phone calls with professionalism and proper etiquette.
  • Provide customers with information about products, store hours, location, daily specials, and website details.
  • Highlight the JARS Loyalty Program and related campaigns.
  • Arrive on time for each scheduled shift, looking presentable.
  • Communicate order updates to budtenders.
  • Create memorable experiences for all store patrons.
  • Ensure compliance with Michigan and CRA regulations at all times.
  • Perform opening, mid-day, and closing tasks, along with general upkeep of the reception area.
  • Support store management in administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to all relevant laws, regulations, and protocols.
  • Monitor customer queues consistently.
  • Keep all online and paper menus updated with daily offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a retail, sales, or hospitality setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or front desk receptionist role.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and capability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Position requires occasional standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment.
  • Work is typically performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary with frequent contact with customers and staff.
  • Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional events.
