Job description:
Our restaurant portfolio at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport features diverse dining options, including Chili’s, Max & Erma’s, Sora Japanese Cuisine, and Coffey Beanery. As a Utility team member at SSP America, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

– Creating a positive guest experience by ensuring hygienic work areas are consistently clean and well-maintained.
– Disposing of refuse in designated areas.
– Maintaining the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment such as floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, and storage areas.
– Clearing and resetting tables in dining areas between seatings as needed and transporting serviceware to the kitchen for cleaning.
– Scraping food residues from dirty dishes, pots, and pans, washing them by hand or utilizing the dishwasher, and returning items to their designated storage locations.
– Cleaning equipment with specific sanitizing chemicals to meet established hygiene standards, potentially including the use of heavy equipment.
– Assisting guests with specific requests and effectively communicating any special needs to servers or supervisors.
– Managing supply shipments, including loading/unloading trucks and transferring supplies between storage and work areas.
– Stocking, dating, rotating, and checking the temperature of food items.
– Performing additional duties as assigned.
