Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Company: Beacon Specialized Living Services, Inc.

Location: Augusta, MI

Pay: $15.5 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $15.50 for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Augusta, MI, is generally on the lower end of the pay scale for this role. Nationally, DSPs typically earn between $12 and $20 per hour, depending on factors like experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. In Michigan, the average hourly wage often aligns with or exceeds $16 to $18, particularly in more urban areas. Given the rising cost of living and demand for healthcare support roles, this rate may not be competitive or sufficient to attract and retain qualified candidates in the region. Thus, it may be worthwhile for employers to consider adjusting the compensation to better align with industry standards.
