Position Summary
Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers an exciting opportunity for you to learn and advance within a well-established company with over 45 years of experience. As a new associate, you will participate in a tailored interactive program lasting approximately sixteen (16) weeks, covering various aspects of account management, including:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform the responsibilities of housekeeping, heavy housekeeping/floor tech, and laundry worker positions while becoming proficient in operating and instructing others on industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to established policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide guidance and support to meet quality standards, maintain inventory, adhere to safety guidelines, and fulfill customer service expectations while following applicable regulations.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment in a structured format to be shared with HCSG and facility management.
  • Training: Be accountable for all aspects of training, quality control, and staff orientation to uphold HCSG standards, including routine assessments using quality control indicators.
  • Leadership: Manage a range of responsibilities including payroll submission, staffing patterns, coaching, disciplinary actions, purchasing, inventory maintenance, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively relay directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
  • Safety & Compliance: Use protective gear appropriately and ensure the safe mixing and application of cleaning solutions while reporting equipment and product needs promptly. Adhere to established infection control and safety protocols.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and adhere to assigned cleaning schedules.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through collaboration and courtesy with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience: Foster positive and respectful interactions with residents and guests.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine tasks reliably.
  • After completing the requisite training, utilize leadership skills to fulfill all responsibilities independently and safely.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary for maintaining records and generating reports, including web-based reporting capabilities.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies as stipulated by relevant authorities.
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, and engage in extended periods of standing, sitting, bending, and walking.
  • Must consistently execute routine and repetitive tasks.
  • Capable of working around food and cleaning products.
  • Must reside within the service area.
