Job description:

The role involves servicing healthcare laboratory equipment, including hematology, chemistry, and coagulation analyzers, for a leading provider of medical laboratory devices. Preference will be given to candidates with existing or recent field service experience in the medical device industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining automated robotic laboratory instrumentation. A strong background in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting is essential, and occasional travel will be required.
This position is not eligible for relocation. It can be based in Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; Detroit, MI; or Charlotte, NC.
Qualifications:
- A Certificate or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in electronics or a related field is required.
- Strong experience in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service engineer.
- Experience in maintaining medical laboratory analyzers or related medical instrumentation is preferred.
- This role requires the individual to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Extensive occasional travel will be necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and provide preventative servicing for laboratory instrumentation.
- Establish and nurture strong customer relations.
- Coordinate issue resolution in collaboration with the Field Support Group.
- Maintain vehicle inventory, including tools and parts.
- Provide basic onsite training on the operation of company instrumentation.
