THE JOB:
As a Technical Support Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver innovative and effective solutions to intricate technical challenges, supporting the deployment and maintenance of hardware and software systems. In this role, you will analyze requirements, resolve issues, and propose process enhancements that improve efficiency and user experience. Utilizing your problem-solving abilities, you will ensure successful deployments, collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, and provide guidance to end users and technicians, facilitating smooth implementation and ongoing support.

THE STARTING RATE:
$31.75 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Analyze hardware and software requirements for project planning, providing informed recommendations.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems, identifying non-obvious process improvements.
  • Document project metrics and create presentations for Senior Management.
  • Coordinate tasks and manage project deployments to achieve established objectives within defined scopes.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to support successful project implementation.
  • Engage with end users before and after deployment to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Create software automation scripts and comprehensive deployment documentation.
  • Train and guide property technicians or contingent workers during project implementation.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across both company-supported and non-company-supported devices.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within Information Technology.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to analyze hardware and software needs, providing solutions for complex integration issues.
  • Experience leading project deployments, coordinating with vendors, and supporting end users pre- and post-launch.
  • Skilled in developing automation scripts, documenting metrics, and innovating process improvements.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting cross-platform hardware and software issues as well as conducting system-level testing.
  • Capable of creating clear technical documentation and effectively communicating with non-technical users.
  • Experience mentoring technicians, managing tasks under tight deadlines, and thriving in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong customer service skills, with aptitude for multitasking and organization; mechanically inclined.
  • Familiarity with scripting, QA practices, and certifications such as A+ and MCP.
  • Experience in hospitality or resort settings is a plus.
