Shepherd of the Valley’s home health agency is actively seeking Part-Time Home Health Aides (HHA) to deliver personalized assistance to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. Our available positions span a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, with some shifts lasting 4-5 hours with the same patient. Responsibilities:

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with clients.
  • Adhere to the client’s care plan to ensure high-quality care.
  • Accurately document services provided and observe and report on the client’s condition.
  • Assist clients with daily activities.
  • Provide personal care as needed.
  • Offer medication reminders.
  • Assist clients in moving in and out of bed, vehicles, or wheelchairs, as well as using the lavatory and navigating stairs.
  • Perform various miscellaneous tasks upon request, such as obtaining household supplies and running errands.
  • Conduct light housekeeping duties.
  • Prepare meals as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated competency in performing Home Health Aide duties in accordance with agency policy, evidenced through verbal, written, and practical skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Ohio.

Candidates will also be required to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
