As an entry-level Sales Associate / Cashier at Goodwill Industries of Akron, you will serve as the face of our organization, playing a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service. While our stores are well-organized and our merchandise is affordable, it is the exemplary service provided by our staff that brings customers back time and again.

Your primary responsibilities will include greeting every customer with a warm smile, regardless of the busyness of the store. You will ensure shoppers and donors are informed about the Elizabeth Clark Fund and encourage participation, as well as engage customers with our Goodwill Club membership offerings.

In your role as a cashier, you will efficiently operate the cash register and point-of-sale system, ensuring transactions are handled accurately. You will complete essential reports, including donation counts, daily business statements, and cash drawer reconciliations. Additionally, you will answer phone calls with the same commitment to customer care, actively listening to inquiries.

Your duties will also involve selecting and pricing donated items while adhering to Goodwill’s quality control standards. You will take pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the store. Your proactive approach will enable you to thrive in a dynamic setting and establish positive relationships with both new and returning customers.

Qualifications for an Entry-Level Sales Associate / Cashier:
