Job description:

Vector Technical’s partner, Ryder, is actively seeking skilled Warehouse Material Handlers to enhance their successful operations. Please note that candidates must possess forklift or tow motor experience to be considered for this role.

Available Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM at $19 per hour
  • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM at $19.50 per hour

Position Description:
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the accurate transfer of products into and out of warehouse locations. This includes loading and unloading trailers, moving products throughout the facility using powered industrial equipment, and performing inventory counts as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply instructions from the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately.
  • Identify and rectify potential process errors proactively to prevent adverse impacts on customer service.
  • Detect damaged products at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action.
  • Accurately pull and stage orders as assigned, ensuring proper verification of number of pallets and staging locations.
  • Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation to maintain product accountability throughout the logistics process.
  • Adhere to Safety and Security policies and procedures for the location and work center.
  • Perform housekeeping duties along with other assigned tasks.
  • Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery (certification not required).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of related warehouse and/or powered industrial lift experience is required.
  • Proficiency in reading, performing basic mathematics, and understanding written and verbal instructions in English for safety and operational procedures.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and navigate high-traffic areas safely.
  • Proficiency in inputting data into various WMS computer systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime as assigned.
