In this role, you will interact with patients to address a range of billing inquiries and facilitate resolution. You will be responsible for managing patient accounts and collections, ensuring exemplary customer service in all interactions.

This is a full-time position. Employees must exhibit flexibility in working any of our shift schedules during standard business hours, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the initial 90 days requiring daily onsite attendance. Occasionally, overtime may be necessary depending on business needs. Employees will have a hybrid work arrangement, alternating between onsite and remote work.

We provide two weeks of paid on-the-job training, with training hours set from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday. Candidates located within commuting distance to our office at 2750 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, will have the option to work both from home and the office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage with patients and collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing inquiries effectively.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, initiate payment arrangements, generate itemized bills as necessary, and manage unpaid and overdue balances.
  • Analyze and follow up on patient account balances, making necessary corrections, and rebilling insurance carriers as required.
  • Manage patient accounts, including credits, denials, and underpayments, ensuring timely corrections and re-billing of COB/no coverage denials.
  • Collect payments and apply appropriate discounts and adjustments to patient accounts.
  • Adhere to customer service protocols while engaging with patient accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all account activity, collaborating with bad debt vendors regarding patient concerns.
  • Comprehend and comply with all patient account policies at Premiere Medical Resources.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in billing within a physician office, billing company, or medical collections.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding and use of a 10-key adding machine.
  • Computer literacy and strong clerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts within normal business hours, including the initial 90-day onsite requirement and occasional overtime.

The hourly compensation for this role ranges from $16.88 to $33.22, based on full-time employment.
