As a General Manager (GM), you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and direction to the sales and group personal training teams across two locations. This position requires a robust understanding of sales and operational excellence, coupled with a passion for coaching and developing talent. As the leader of the sales function, the GM will implement an effective lead generation and marketing strategy to enhance fitness program sales and promote the health and wellness benefits of an active lifestyle. This role demands enthusiasm, creativity, and a results-driven mindset.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
– Exemplify studio activities and the sales process by leading through example.
– Ensure consistent achievement and surpassing of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
– Lead and coordinate initial and ongoing sales initiatives, including promotions, events, and outreach activities while executing effective lead generation strategies.
– Oversee the complete employee life cycle for all studio staff, encompassing recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and offboarding.
– Train and mentor staff while establishing a leadership pipeline. Engage in daily role-playing to maintain a high-performing team.
– Manage studio budgets, including revenue, payroll, supplies, inventory management, and the Return Merchandise Authorization process.
– Schedule sales staff and conduct weekly audits of time cards, ensuring accurate payroll submission biweekly while adhering to compliance protocols.
– Organize and lead monthly staff meetings with the sales and fitness teams to discuss monthly sales objectives, goals, events, and marketing initiatives.
– Attend weekly meetings with Regional Managers to report on studio performance and ongoing matters.
– Collaborate with the Head Coach to optimize class sizes through effective scheduling.
– Ensure adherence to all front desk protocols, including member check-ins, telephone inquiries, first-time guest bookings, and other administrative tasks.
– Plan and promote special events at the studio monthly, leveraging OTF tools for outreach and community engagement.
Operational Duties:
– Ensure compliance with OTF business policies and the Thrive employee handbook for daily operations.
– Maintain OTF branding through consistency and adherence to corporate policies, business practices, systems, and processes.
– Collaborate with the facilities department to troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to studio equipment and technology, ensuring the facility is clean, well-maintained, and operationally sound.
– Resolve customer service issues effectively.
